We participated in Zambia-Japan Plaque Ceremony at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zambia (UNZA). This ceremony was held to celebrate a 30 years relationship among the School of Veterinary Medicine, UNZA, Hokkaido University and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and organized by JICA.
The Ceremony was attended by the Acting Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Benard HANG’OMBE, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNZA, Prof. Enala MWASE, JICA Resident Representative, Mr. Hisanao NODA and The Acting Ambassador, Charges d’Affaires ad interim of Japan to the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Shuichi SAKAKIBARA, and about other 45 people. Mr. Satoshi NAKAMURA, Study Abroad Coordinator from our office, read a message of good will from Prof. Hiroshi KANAGAWA who has greatly contributed to the establishment of the School of Veterinary Medicine, UNZA.
During the ceremony, we got the chance to tour the School of Veterinary Medicine (Actually, I, DAIMON, had never entered the clinic of the school, I am working at the office located at the School of Veterinary Medicine though, so I was impressed to see their theater for animals). Before this tour, the symbolic plaque was unveiled officially, which, I feel, shows our friendship and continued collaboration between not only Japan and Zambia, but also Hokkaido University and University of Zambia.
